Packaging Technician Trainee
Position Summary
Packaging Operator I packages pharmaceutical products per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies & procedures in compliance with specifications and regulations established for packaging process. Operate automatic filling, labeling, and sealing equipment. Perform cleaning of the packaging room and equipment.
Essential Responsibilities (Required):

cGMP/Documentation: Perform all functions according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Accurately and legibly document in Standard Operating Instruction (SOI) and Log Book.

Determine when to stop a line related to a safety or quality.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
-
Operate automatic packaging equipment.
-
Document packaging activities.
-
Feed filling equipment.
-
Palletize finished products.
-
Perform line cleaning.
-
Segregate waste product and materials.
-
Return unused material/product.
-
Participate in safety related programs and or safety teams as needed.
-
Reconcile product bulk, material, packaging and printed materials.
-
Enforce and follow safety regulations and ensure working area is clean.
-
Adhere to PII’s Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
-
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Six (6) months Packaging Operator experience in an automated work environment preferred
-
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Packaging Area Standard Operating Procedures and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations
-
Ability to effectively and clearly communicate, both written and verbally in English
Primary Outcomes

Ensure products are packaged in accordance with packaging time standards.
