Comparator Over-Encapsulation

PII has extensive tooling for the over-encapsulation of comparator products (tablets and capsules) ranging from semi-automatic to automatic capsule machines.

Backfilling of Capsules with Excipients
Capsules can be filled with suitable excipients to prevent rattling.

Banding of Product
In order to prevent opening of supplies, PII can place a protective gelatin band to seal the capsule using a high speed gelatin banding machine. This will help to prevent the unblinding of the clinical study.

Clinical Supply Quantities
PII can over-encapsulate the comparator product and band the capsules in batches of up to 2 million to cover the requirements of a large clinical trial.

Analytical Support
PII can develop methods for cleaning and comparative dissolution through to final release of supplies.
