ALAN SAIDEL
Vice President, Manufacturing Operations

Alan Saidel is the Vice Present of Manufacturing Operations for Pharmaceutics International, Inc. (PII), a company that focuses on the development of formulations and delivery systems for solid, liquid and semi-solid dosage pharmaceutical products.  

Since joining PII in 2001, Alan has been instrumental in facilitating the rapid expansion of PII’s manufacturing facilities, which in two years have grown from 19 to 37 manufacturing suites, including 14 containment rooms, an automated packaging line and blister packaging equipment. He is responsible for the clinical trial and commercial manufacturing and packaging operations. 

Alan brings with him over 20 years of production experience in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products and has full working knowledge of Drug Enforcement Administration regulations, Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food & Drug Administration regulations. 

Alan was previously employed with Lannett Company, Inc. in Philadelphia as Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing where he oversaw the significant expansion and reorganization of their manufacturing facilities and instituted training programs for manufacturing and packaging personnel. Before joining Lannett, Alan served as Director of Production for Pal Pack, Inc. in Allentown, PA where he directed production of solid dosage, liquid manufacturing of Rx and OTC products and medical devises. From 1986 to 1989 Alan served as Manufacturing Manager for Mutual Pharmaceutical Company, Inc. in Philadelphia. From 1982 to 1986 he served as Controlled Drug Manager and Chief of Security for Barr Laboratories, Inc. in New Jersey.
